Application & Information

Join the Honor Guard

Interested in joining us at Mackinac in 2020?  We invite all Michigan Scouts to apply for this classic project.

Troop 111 will be returning to the Island July 18 - 25, 2020!

We have reached the maximum number of scouts.  We are accepting additional applications for the waiting list.  In a "normal" year we have 1 or 2 scouts that find out they have a conflict with band camp, sports camp, etc and have to step down.  This year, there is no normal.  I can't predict anything, but anyone who applies and is on the wait list will be included in our communications so you get all the updates on where the program stands with COVID-19.

As of now, the Parks are opening 2 weeks later than usual, but are planning on opening.  We are planning on practices as usual, but will adjust as needed to keep our scouts safe.

2020 Schedule

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY AT ALL PRACTICES.  Any absences must be approved by the Scoutmaster, in advance, and must be for a completely unavoidable reason.  Unexcused absences may result in removal from the Honor Guard and forfeiture of your fees.

All scouts must submit the following forms as soon as possible following acceptance.

All Scouts and Adult Leaders accepted to the Honor Guard must have a current BSA Annual Health and Medical form - Parts A, B, & C.  Make sure you take this along when you get your yearly physical.  Please note, BSA Health Forms are good for one year only.  Plan carefully to make sure your form is valid while we are on the Island.

Each day begins with a uniform inspection.  Refer to page 2 of Boy Scout Uniform Inspection Sheet to make sure your patches are in the right spot.  Same for you, adult leaders.
